This may come as a surprise to you, but I love Photo Frames. Anything that can take an ordinary picture and make it look like it’s worth 10 times it’s true value is a powerful thing. Some people spend their entire lives collecting awards, degrees, and family photos only to have them rot away in their basements collecting dust. Are you one of those people? I didn’t think so.
It’s not as big a sacrifice as I thought it would be. I was surprised to find that there are many beautiful plastic Photo Frames out there that look almost as good as glass. I have also found that they are a little less expensive, and have the added bonus of not breaking when they drop. The only thing I don’t like about plastic Photo Frames is that the plastic piece over the photo is not quite as clear as glass might be. A clean piece of glass should be completely transparent, whereas the plastic is always a little visible.
Don’t pay for someone’s prime real estate. If you shop at a fancy shopping centre in a major city, you might be paying too much for whatever you are looking to purchase. Guess what? The overhead that is being charged in that shopping centre is going to be built into the price of your purchase. This includes Photo Frames. I regularly drive by 1st class real estate developments that have HUGE Photo Frames shops. Ever wonder how these shops can afford their high rent prices? That’s right. From your purchases. Look at buying your Photo Frames online or from places that aren’t in the fanciest parts of town. The same frames can often be found for much better prices. However, no matter how good plastic Photo Frames become, I will not use them forever. Once my daughter is old enough to restrain herself a little more, I will probably start buying glass frames again. I don’t know what I will do with all of my old plastic Photo Frames, but perhaps that will give them to her to use in her bedroom. While they are improving, and look a lot better than they used to, there is still nothing quite as beautiful as glass frames. Perhaps it is how the sunlight catches them, or perhaps it is just habit.
